Graphic Novels


Yes, they are books with pictures, but for bigger kids and grown ups and they are NOT all comic books. I think graphic novels are the [[#|next]] big thing in getting big kids to read. They are colorful and funny and have pictures! But they also have lots of great story lines and vocabulary that has pictures to support context clues. Click here for some basics about Graphic Novels from Random House. Lots of kids in middle grades and upper elementary love these kinds of books! Use the SQUISH series to grab boys' interest.
